Sailing vacation in Stockholm archipelago – part one
We had finally finished the preparations necessary for a summer sail, so it was time to go on our sailing vacation in Stockholm archipelago 🙂 our plan was to sail a little bit more south than we usually go with our ship. On the map below the first part of our sailing trip can be seen. We will add part two shortly. Day one We woke up and finished the final preparations before we set off. Easter tour and boatwork
It is Easter holiday now which means four days off work. The first day we took a tour with our ship Aline to the island Storön in the archipelago together with some other ships. It was definitely summer feelings in Stockholm with 20 degrees (68 Fahrenheit) and we brought our sliding hatch and Thomas worked with it for a while. We spent one night out and then drove back in the evening. The following day we went to the sailboat to continue working. First up was to add our new stop wire we bought. Cleaning the engine with EcoPar diesel
When we had finished repairing the plastic cracks in the cockpit we decided to continue working with our engine, a Volvo Penta MD19. Our next mission was to to empty the tanks and fill them with clean diesel, EcoPar.
